10 emerging designers every fashion girl should know

From London to Lebanon, we've rounded up the emerging designers making waves in the fashion industry and filling our Pinterest boards with endless inspiration.

Our Instagram feeds are saturated with clothing brands, and depop designers, who, largely copy each other in an endless spiral of lacklustre reproductions. It can be hard to cut through the noise sometimes, and recognise where true creativity lies.


So we've rounded up 10 designers you NEED to know about, each of them boundary pushing, innovative and inspiring.

Masha Popova

Described as an 'exciting, young denimologist' by Vogue. Popova is a Ukrainian born London based womenswear designer best known for her wearable high-fashion denim designs that fuse fantasy with childhood memories.


Her most recent collections have been inspried by petrolheads, and could be seen as existing in the same universe as Diesel's distressed denim collections, but much cooler. For the first time she incorporated menswear into her designs.

Collina Strada

One of the oldest brands on this list, but still young in fashion years is Collina Strada, launched in Los Angeles in 2008 by designer Hillary Taymour. Described as "part of a new generation of fashion brands choosing community and sustainability over scale" the brand uses deadstock fabric and natural dyes to create their eclectic patterns.


Their latest collection (SS24) used AI as a tool for creativity, feeding their previous collections into the machine, Taymour and the AI developed a uniquely Collina-esque collection that celebrated their maximalist aesthetic.

Dilara Findikoglu

Turkish-born designer Dilara Fındıkoğlu knows how to create an escapist universe through her iconoclastic designs. The CSM graduate has an eye for fantastical gothic romance, that has gained her fans like Bimini Bon Boulash, Iris Law, Paloma Elessor and Bella Hadid.


This spirit of anarchy deeply informed her fashion shows: the first collection took place in a strip club, the second in a church. In a world where nothing seems to surprise us anymore, Findikoglu always does.

Raga Malak

Founded by friends Gadir Rajab and Raquelle Saba, this now Australian-based brand was originally conceptualised in 2019 in Lebanon. The project was born to connect to the motherland and shed a more positive light on their Middle Eastern roots. Often the pair hire Lebanese videographers and models to shape the creative of their campaigns ensuring the brand continues playing on the "hybrid identities and the complexities of the common alienation that immigrant children face".


Their inaugural collection features, now-famed eponymous slogan tees, corset tops, lace dresses, trucker hats and barely-there bikinis.

Yuhan Wang

Yuhan Wang is the epnymous label of the London-based Chinese designer. Heralded for its sensitive approach to the portrayal of feminine strength under the lens of romantic nostalgia, the brand has powerfully expanded upon the hyper-feminine offering presented via talent incubator Fashion East.


His work often disrupts traditional notions of female fragility and sensitivity.

Danbi

Made in Los Angeles, Danbi is the creative outlet of Lisa Danbi Park (Danbi meaning 'sweet rain' in Korean). The brand is an exploration of the designers Korean American identity "with curiosity and thoughtfulness, via items that are meant to be worn, layered and shared."


Their e-shop features lace up printed tights, gloves and sheer tops as well as a small collection of patterned bikinis.

Feben

As part of the Fashion Council's NEWGEN, Feben is perhaps one of the youngest brands on this list. A recent CSM graduate, she often draws on the nomadism of her own experience, playing with visual codes of Black identity through her work.


Her latest collection features surrealist body scale designs draped on long sleek dresses, as well as more graphic and sculptural pieces.

Clara Colette Miramon


Berlin-based womenswear designer Clara Colette Miramon has gained a cult-following for embodying the spirit of youth culture in her designs. Her work is inspired by childhood memories, coming of age stories, subcultures and their deconstruciton.


Think cut out dresses, washed deinm, printed silk mini dresses and deconstructed tees.

Sinead Gorey

A fusion of contemporary womenswear and technical partywear Sinead Gorey's universe is endless fun. You'll have probably seen her bodymap designs on your favourite It Girl over the past couple of years, or remember photos of her cowgirl themed presentation from 2022.


Drawing inspiration from London night-life subcultures, the brand has creates a signature recognisable aesthetic which has become synonymous with the perfect night out.

Gabe Gordon


Focusing on the decay in clothing, Gabe Gordon has been designing his own fabrics since 2019. The Connecticut-born designer focuses on body-hugging and distressed knits, particularly in his SS24 collection.
